We are pleased to announce we have recently taken over the film service management for the London Borough Newham. We look forward to working with Newham Council to promote the borough to the industry and attract more filming to the area.
Newham is a fantastic borough for filming and with The Film Office at the helm we will offer the full spectrum of wonderful and diverse locations the borough has to offer, whilst making the process of filming and facilitating filming quick and easy.
Director Dominic Reeve-Tucker said:
“We are delighted to add Newham as a client borough and we now manage a pro-active film service in East London across Tower Hamlets & Newham providing continuity that will benefit both film makers and local residents & businesses. The Film Office is dedicated to protecting the interests of the local residents and businesses in the borough, ensuring filming brings direct benefits to the areas in which it takes place, whilst causing minimal disturbance to people’s daily lives. We look forward to increasing filming in Newham and ensuring it’s full array of locations are available to the Industry”.
Councillor Ken Clark, cabinet member for building communities, public affairs and regeneration and planning, said:
“Newham is a vibrant borough, home to an extremely diverse population and a wealth of different locations such as the iconic Olympic Stadium and Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park as well as London City Airport, which is based in the Royal Docks. We want to capitalise on Newham’s location in the heart of the East End and attract more businesses to the area whilst ensuring local people also benefit.
